Detrás de los diseños del Sonic Café Taiwán [Sonic Fan Meeting Taiwan 2024]

El 23 de noviembre de 2024 se celebró la segunda reunión oficial de fans de Sonic en Taiwán, un evento muy esperado en el que participaron miembros clave del equipo del Sonic Team, como Kazuyuki Hoshino, Director Creativo, y Shun Nakamura, Productor. Durante el evento, compartieron detalles sobre el desarrollo de la colaboración de Sonic con un café local en Taiwán, y sobre los diseños visuales que dan vida a este proyecto. Aquí un resumen de los detalles que han compartido:

El concepto de cafés temáticos de Sonic ya se habían materializado en los Estados Unidos y Japón, y la idea de llevar este tipo de experiencias a otras partes de Asia fue lo que inspiró el evento de colaboración en Taiwán. En este caso, las ilustraciones fueron creadas especialmente para este café, y el objetivo era ofrecer a los visitantes un ambiente relajante en el que pudieran disfrutar de su experiencia.

Los personajes fueron divididos en dos grupos basándose en sus personalidades: aquellos encargados de atender a los clientes y los que se encargarían de la cocina. De esta manera, cada personaje tiene un rol que refleja sus formas de ser:

Hoshino: "Este evento se celebra principalmente porque ya existe un Sonic Speed Café en los Estados Unidos y hubo un restaurante con motivo del 20 aniversario en Japón. Esperamos que haya más restaurantes cooperativos en Asia y que se celebren en más lugares. Esta vez, mi deseo se ha hecho realidad: abrir un café en Asia fuera de Japón."

"En realidad, Estados Unidos y Japón ya han creado muchas ilustraciones para colaboraciones con cafés. Al principio, quería reutilizar esas ilustraciones. Pero es raro que celebremos un evento en un restaurante tan elegante en Taiwán, así que sería una pena usar ilustraciones antiguas. Por eso le pedimos a Karasuno del equipo de arte que dibujara nuevas ilustraciones para esta colaboración en Taiwán."

"Quiero que todos sientan que la comida es preparada por los propios personajes. El equipo en Estados Unidos vio la colaboración en redes sociales y nos escribió pidiendo usar estas ilustraciones para merchandise. Sin embargo, el equipo ha terminado decidiendo que serán exclusivas para el evento."

Many fans sonic say you hate Amy Because you gave Amy a bad reputation and also said that Sonic doesn't like Amy as well ، Is this true

Why do you ask this question in the first place right after trying to ask a question to debunk Sonadow? What is your purpose in asking these questions as someone who is obviously against Sonadow and someone who likes Amy and Sonamy? And to even use a burner account to do this and to even try to intimidate by claiming that "many fans" think like you or what you've said while believing that pressuring us with what people think is going to make us bend to your will.

There are two of us who handle this account, but I am aware of who you're referring to when falsely accusing that this account is one person or that only one is using this account. Which also proves that you are trying to target one of us with your interrogation disrespectfully.

I didn't say to others what I think of Amy, I only speak of the facts that I find about her and her relationship with Sonic throughout my research of the franchise because many constantly lie about her characterization, personality, relationship with Sonic and medias with Amy in it. I'm not "giving her a bad reputation," I am speaking about the facts about Amy.

It is a fact that she:

Demanded Sonic to go on dates with her, even to the point of forcing him to promise her (2021 Calendar Story)

Demanded (or "joked/asked" or assumed) for Sonic to marry her on multiple occasions (Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 manual, Sonic Battle with her saying she thought Sonic would propose to her to Knuckles and by enforcing herself to be Emerl's mother and Sonic the father, Sonic Colors DS, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes)

Has disregarded others in favor of trying to find Sonic or have others help her find him (Sonic Colors DS)

Is disrespectful towards Sonic because she self-proclaims herself to be his girlfriend even though he has said no to her in canon material several times

Sees Sonic as a form of entertainment to satisfy her boredom

Is obsessed and overly infatuated with Sonic to the point of thinking that Sonic can never do any wrong except refusing what she wants from him many times

Has followed Sonic around wherever he has gone for several games, whether he liked it or not

Is touchy with Sonic despite him not liking her touch and despite showing discomfort

She has become violent or "joked" about being violent towards Sonic if she doesn't get her way with him or he doesn't accept her advances/demands

That she is based off of being a Japanese woman as a character that is created in Japan with Japanese creators, who generally are seen in negative light from those who live in Japan because of their abusive personality and actions towards their husbands (and men) after trying to make themselves look good or seem good.

If others think that these facts make her have a bad reputation or look bad, then that's how her official actions in official materials look; that shows that her personality and actions are bad and look bad to others once knowing the official materials.

Does Sonic like Amy romantically? No. Many sources, not just once, already stated that.

Ian Flynn said that in the IDW comics, there is no romance. He said they are one-sided with Amy liking Sonic and that they are just friends.

But even one of her creators, Kazuyuki Hoshino, stated that it was always supposed to be an endless chase. Therefore, they were never meant to be together in the first place and it was always to be one-sided relationship with Amy being the one to like Sonic and Sonic not liking her back.

Other people who state this is how even in Sonic Boom, a writer for the series stated that Sonamy was always meant to be a joke in their series, therefore it never should have been taken seriously.

Sonic Team also uploaded a video of Sonic answering questions, and with that, Sonic said that he only sees Amy as a reliable friend; that there's nothing more between them.

And even with her profile on Sonic Channel, it still states that Amy is a self-proclaimed girlfriend, which means that Sonic doesn't return her "romantic" feelings back and doesn't see her that way to have her actually be a girlfriend, not just a self-proclaimed one.

Other than that, it is already obviously shown in several medias that Sonic is uncomfortable with Amy and that he doesn't want to be in a relationship with her. If this was any other series, no one would question whether Sonic likes Amy or not from just seeing the materials where he (excluding materials from recent corrupt employees that are inaccurate to the faithful materials/lore):

1. Tries to end meet-ups with her as soon as possible if possible (the 2021 Calendar Story)

2. How he doesn't want Amy touching him and tells her to get off of him (Sonic Unleashed and the cover image for the 2021 Calendar Story)

3. Where he leaves her in others care to get away from Amy when possible (Sonic Colors DS and Sonic Battle)

4. Where he even straight out says no to her advances or the thought of being together romantically (Sonic Advance 3)

5. Where he runs away from Amy or when knowing Amy is coming (Sonic Battle like in point 3)

This was taken post-official Sonic fan meeting in BKK2024, I was hesitated to ask a picture with him at first but he said it was okay since there was nobody around (except sega team ㅠㅠ))) During the painting session in the event, he thanked me for cosplaying Maria ( which i replied back that rahhh thank you for designing her!! Father..............)))) anyway, this picture was also taken by Sonic Rumble head developer (i didn't note his name down, im sorry!) which was funny hehe ... thank you thank you thank you!

Resumen Onsoku Aka Chôchin 【音速赤ちょうちん】 - Diario de Dibujo

El Izakaya “Onsoku Aka Chôchin” (Sonic Red Lantern / El Farolillo Rojo Sónico) se encuentra en algún lugar de Station Square. Es el lugar favorito del Sonic Team, y después del trabajo, los miembros habituales del equipo se reúnen para charlar plácidamente sobre los más recientes y futuros proyectos entre bebidas y aperitivos.

En esta ocasión traemos un resumen sobre una sección llamada "Picture Diary" donde conversan sobre el proyecto SONIC PICT, las ilustraciones que nos muestran situaciones cotidianas de Sonic y los demás, publicadas cada mes en redes sociales. Como cabeza del proyecto, Kazuyuki Hoshino, Director Creativo de la serie Sonic provee de pequeñas anécdotas del proceso de creación de varias ilustraciones y responde preguntas mandadas por los fans.

Febrero - El San Valentín de Cream

Como la niña pequeña que es, Cream se encuentra muy emocionada e ilusionada festejando su primer San Valentín y poder dar regalos por primera vez.

Cabe aclarar que, a diferencia de otros países, donde el 14 de febrero es principalmente una celebración para las parejas, en Japón es también una ocasión para demostrar afecto y aprecio a los amigos. La costumbre es que las chicas regalen chocolate a sus amigos.

Pregunta: ¿El que se ve detrás de Cheese es el Lobo Avatar (Buddy/Gadget) de Sonic Forces?

"Probablemente no...¿Quién será?"

Uno de las primeras ideas en bocetos fue este pero decidieron cambiarlo ya que no producía la expectación y emoción que esperaban. Después de todo, ya se sabía a quien iba dirigido el regalo.

Sin embargo, el regalo con forma de pez se conservó para el arte final ¿Cream habrá repartido regalos entre varios?

Marzo - Hanami de los Chaotix

El trío Chaotix disfruta de la primavera debajo de los cerezos en hanami.

Esta ilustración fue presentada en el Fan Meeting de Seul, por lo que lo diseñaron para que pudiera ser apreciada por cualquiera que no estuviera familiarizado con la cultura japonesa.

La taza y los odangos de Espio vienen de un fondo hecho anteriormente por Uekawa.

Abril - Todos admiran a su heroína de compras

Hablaron sobre la posibilidad de hacer otro libro de Life in Sonic's World (libro de arte que recopila el proyecto Sonic Pict 2019-2021).

Como productor Hoshino comentó que ahora mismo estaban muy ocupados con el desarrollo y lanzamiento de juegos, pero que ya había material suficiente para hacer otro libro.

Mayo - Chao Dôjô

Se pueden distinguir la personalidad entre los tipos de Chao por los detalles como las toallas.

Mientras que la toalla del Chao normal esta semidoblada, el del Hero Chao está doblada perfectamente y el del Dark Chao está tirada en el suelo.

La bolsa con la botella de agua también viene de un fondo de pantalla anterior.

All that we know so far were : her first appearance in first Tailstube episode, acknowledgement from Ian Flynn & Kazuyuki Hoshino back in 2022, her surname Tori in Japanese version of shadow Generations Gerald's Journal and her appearance on a billboard in sonic movie 3 Tokyo scene

Surely can't be a joke character like Tribot if we know little about her.

There's really nothing to think of. She's just a piece of concept art. One that's probably never actually going to be used for anything. If she was going to ever be in any kind of upcoming game, then why would they have so casually used her design in the tailstube videos?

Might as well ask me about Tiara Boobowski.

there's a lot of sonic cd dna in NiGHTS into dreams i feel

-both games were directed by naoto ohshima -both games get better the better you get at the game and the more you memorize level layouts on repeated playthroughs -kazuyuki hoshino character designs -naofumi hatatya worked on both soundtracks -a lot of effort put into things most players won't notice their first time playing (cd's 4 time periods for each act 1 and 2 of the game/each level in nights having 4 music tracks depending on the mood of the nightopians, and also nightopian and king pian mechanics in general) -the pian towers, the designs of twin seeds city and some promotional art you can see direct connections to sonic cd's art direction

Yep. She came from the Shogakukan manga that released in 1992. Kazuyuki Hoshino incorporated her into CD after giving her a redesign.
